1) Besant Avenue Road, Chennai
According to locals, a small temple was built in the corner of two roads, this temple was built to ward off evil spirits and the area is covered with trees on both the sides. This place is a must visit if you are planning a ghost walk.
2) East Coast Road
If you go on a road trip from Chennai to Puducherry, you will come across the East Coast Road, which is considered to be a driver's delight. The two-lane highway is known to provide a smooth ride, along with picturesque sceneries. But it is better to avoid driving on this road after sunset. The road is badly lit and is believed to be haunted by the ghost of a lady wearing a white saree who distracts drivers, leading to deadly accidents. Travelers have also experienced a sudden drop in temperatures on this particular stretch of the road.
3) Fern Hill Hotel, 0oty
According to a source, during the shooting of Bollywood movie “Raaz”, Famous Choreographer Saroj Khan and her crew woke up one night after hearing noise of rearrangement of furniture on first floor. They decided to contact the reception to talk about this noise, but the phones were dead. They couldn’t sleep due to the constant noise of furniture on the first floor. Next day morning, they complained the receptionist about the noise on first floor. In reply, the receptionist said that there was no first floor in the hotel.
4) Haunted house, Madurai
There is a house near Madurai station. People who stay here have reported seeing ghostly apparitions with some eerie noises and a woman dressed in black can be seen going here and there who suddenly disappears...
5) De Monte Colony, Chennai
There are no lights and the trees here form a unique-yet eerie design. Almost all the houses in this stretch has remained locked for several years. According to the locals, John D'Monte, a 19th century businessman, owned most of the area at that time. He led a very sad personal life, his wife was mentally ill and their only son who he loved disappeared one day, his spirit still wanders around.
6) Sathyamangalam Wildlife Sanctuary
Paranormal activities were noticed here after the death of Veerapan in 2004. The tribal locals were the first to report about the screams which they could hear in the middle of the night. Later, the travelers too pointed it out. They’ve also witnessed floating lanterns at night.
7) Ayyan Thiruvalluvar College Of Arts & Science, Coimbatore
As per the source many students of this college have seen ghostly apparitions near their hostel and some have also heard unwanted and creepy crying voices at night.
8) Hotel Lakeview, Ooty
This Hotel has the most beautiful architecture. However the local people believe it is haunted. The hotel Lakeview has reported many strange paranormal and supernatural activities. Guests have reported hearing cries, during midnight on full moon days.
9) Haunted house, Nagercoil
There have been sightings of ghostly apparitions and unholy experiences in this house and they heard from someone that a dead body will ward of evil spirits. A dead body was kept in the house for almost 10 months until it was brought into the notice of police officials, to ward of evil spirits.
10) Karikattukuppam, Muttukadu
A fishing hamlet in Muttukadu, 32 km from Chennai, It was hit by the tsunami in 2004 and killed two children and a 70-year-old man, it is believed to be haunted by their spirits. People have seen ghostly apparitions at several instances.
